A Lady Who Disappeared

The spotless moon I atone
The bright mind in me shone
I was ready to fly
Untill my wings were clipped
I asked for love
But, I was admonished
I asked for conversation
But, I was shunned

The bird in me bridged high
But the human wanted to settle down
I strived for compassion
But I left my identity for it

Now, I am in the middle of a peir
I can’t find a single fisherman willing to take me ashore
A random chat and myself is all I am left with
My tryst with destiny has settled in

Yes, I am the lady who disappeared
